"Hiding in the Shadows”

  The Shades of Guilt

The Guilt Behind The Shades

Mike was a musician who had a past that could rival that of a thriller movie. He had done some things that he wasn't proud of like being jealous of his best friend and having set up to be killed because of money and it weighed heavy on his conscience. Everywhere he went, he could feel the judging eyes of the people around him. He could see their glares and their suspicious looks. It made him feel uneasy and self-conscious.

So, he decided to do something about it. He started wearing shades whenever he was out in public. He felt that it was a good way to hide his guilt. No one could see his eyes and judge him for his past deeds. He felt like it gave him a sense of security and comfort.

One day, as he was playing a gig at a local bar, a woman came up to him. She was curious about the shades that he always wore. "Why do you always wear shades?" she asked him. "Is it because you're a musician and that's your thing?"

Mike chuckled. "No, it's not that," he replied. "It's just that the way the lighting is set up in here The glare messes with my eyes. The woman looked at him sympathetically. "Oh I thought you had the red eyes" she said. "Yeah you up there jamming I thought you was blind.

Mike was touched by her kind words. He realized that he didn't need to hide behind his shades anymore no one recognized him. He felt could face the world with honesty and integrity. But it wasn’t until he went to restroom a old man walked on talking on his cell phone And what he said made me put my shades back on. He said that the eyes are the windows to the soul no matter where you to cover them up that guilt is going to be there.

Mike didn’t need want that memory to come back to hurt him all over again. But It was like he was like the old man was speaking to me but on the phone with someone else. He had thought that if he wore shades he could hide behind them and no one could see the guilt the shame and the disloyalty of the low down horrible things in his past, but now he knew that he was only fooling himself.

As he walked out of the restroom and back into the world, he knew that he needed to confront his demons head-on. He couldn't hide from them any longer, and he couldn't pretend that they weren't there.

Thanks to the kind words of a stranger and the harsh truth spoken by another, Mike was finally ready to face the world with honesty and integrity, he was going to confess and turn himself into the authorities no matter what the future might hold. And he knew that it was time to lift that burden off his shoulders.
